Professional career
After he had completed his degree in business economics (Dipl.-Kaufmann), Gerd Zika became assistant to the Chair of Statistics and Econometrics at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 1991. He was awarded his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) in 1994 and has been a researcher at IAB since 1995.
