Michael Stops holds university degrees in economics and management sciences (Diplom-Volkswirt and Diplom-Verwaltungswirt, FH). He studied the theoretical basis of the special tasks of the Federal Employment Agency at the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim. After that he worked as a placement officer at the Employment Office in Chemnitz, in the Human Resources, Administration and Financial Management department and in the Research Management of IAB. Additionally he graduated in economics and statistics at the University of Hagen.From 2009 until the beginning of 2013 he acted as an advisor to the Deputy Director of IAB. Currently he is working as a member of the Research Group "Occupational Labour Markets".
