Professional career
Nina Weimann-Sandig studied sociology and politics at the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 2000 to 2004. In 2004 she worked as the specialist for cultural programmes at the Goethe-Institut Inter Nationes in Athens where she was in charge of the Olympia Programme. From 2005 to 2008 Ms Weimann-Sandig was a research assistant to the Chair of Employment and Industrial Sociology (Professor Gert Schmidt) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. She has been an advisor to the Director of IAB (Professor Joachim Möller) since December 2008.
