Her research areas include flexible working relationships, international migration and addiction theory. Her research results have been publicised among others in the Journal of European Social Policy, the Industrial and Labor Relations Review and the Scandinavian Journal of Economics.
Professional career
Dr Elke Jahn (Adj. professor) completed her doctorate at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in 2001 on the economic theory of employment protection. In 2010 she habilitated at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg on the topic of flexible employment relationships and migration. From September 2006 to August 2007 she was Visiting Scholar at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University, Cambridge, USA; from December 2007 to December 2009 she was Associate Professor at the Aarhus School of Business of the University of Aarhus (Denmark). Elke Jahn is a Fellow of the Labor and Socio-Economic Research Center (LASER) of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor, (IZA), Bonn, and Visiting Associate Professor of the Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University.
