Research task
The Institute for Employment Research (IAB) is headed and represented by a Director. This position has been held by Professor Joachim Möller (Dr. rer. soc.) since October 2007. Dr Ulrich Walwei is the Deputy Director. The Director and the Deputy Director are supported in their work by certain key members of staff and various offices. It is the task of the Directorate to provide impulses for new strategic orientation, for research projects and for possible opportunities of cooperation. Decisions concerning personnel, along with large sections of the budget, are the responsibility of the Directorate.
