Arbeitsmarktpolitik im wohlfahrtsstaatlichen Vergleich

"The aim of this article is to elaborate a concept of labour market policy's position in the context of economic policy and the change of its significance during time. To illustrate this change on a European level, the second chapter describes criteria for the classification in Esping-Anderson's welfare state typology, as well as the interaction of particular policy areas. This explains the different starting positions of member states in the execution of reforms which emphasize different points within labour market policy, and which are furthermore characterized by different institutional frameworks. Therefore, the execution of reforms has not been approached uniformly. Similarities and differences are presented in the third chapter. Here, theoretical paths of effects of particular labour market policy instruments are of particular relevance. Also, the change of the significance of labour market policy is outlined in an international comparison." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku)
