Gibt es einen Fachkräftemangel in Leipzig?

"On account of the continuing drop in the size of the population of employable age, there will be numerically less persons available on the labour market in future. Although this is frequently seen as a clear signal of a shortage of skilled workers, this way of looking at things is too narrow. In this article we present various indicators that can identify possible bottlenecks in labour in Saxony and/or the administrative district of Leipzig. However, even these do not give a clear picture. The development of wages in particular, which is seen from the macroeconomic perspective as the most important equalization mechanism between labour supply and labour demand, does not give any indication of a general shortage. On the contrary, wages have risen nominally less than the German average since 2000, while in reality they have even dropped." (author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
