Altersdiversität in Betrieben

"Increasing life expectancy and low birth rates in the last decades have led to a different age structure in companies. The ‘baby boomers’ - i.e. those between 58 and 68 years of age - constitute an increasingly larger part of the workforces. At the same time, companies try to attract young trainees as part of dual vocational training. As a result, three generations work together in some companies. But what does this age diversity mean for the companies, for the workforce and also for the labour market? What are the differences between the generations with regards to qualification, type of work and well-being? Is there a connection between age, work satisfaction and colleagueship? Does the increasing age diversity affect work quality? Answers to these questions are given by the present monitor which evaluated the data from a representative company and employee survey."
