"The project 'The quality of work and economic success' was initiated jointly in 2012 by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) to collect and evaluate detailed longitudinal information from establishments and their employees on staffing, the quality of work, and company culture. The project was carried out by IAB, the universities of Cologne and Tübingen, as well as the ZEW (Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research). Within the framework of this panel study, information was collected from establishments and employees in three survey waves; these are available for evaluation as the Linked Personnel Panel (LPP). For advice on design and implementation of the survey, Kantar Public (formerly TNS Infratest) was in charge and responsible for establishments; while the infas Institute for Applied Social Sciences was in charge and responsible for employees. This final report summarises all essential project work and is structured as follows: This Introduction is followed by a description of the methodical process in Chapter 0 - differentiated according to establishments or employee survey. In addition, selected key figures are mentioned here and coverage results presented. Chapter 3 summarises the results of the research work to date. This is followed by the contentual focus on the topics of diversity of age in the establishments (Chapter 4) and working time (Chapter 5). Chapter 6 provides a summary of the report."
