Professional career

Christine Dauth has been a member of the scientific staff of the IAB since January 2011. From 2013 to 2015, she participated in a joint graduate programme of Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the IAB, where she obtained her PhD in 2015. Before, she had studied Economics at FAU from 2005 to 2010 (degree: “Diplom”). From 2008 to 2009, she studied one year at the Institute for Political Studies (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) in Strasbourg.
Her research interests lie in the field of empirical labour market research, in particular in quantitative methods, the evaluation of measures of active labour market policy, in-company further training, and gender inequalities. From 2015 to 2019, she organised the DiskAB series of lectures. Since 2019 she has been head of the working group Vocational Further Training (“berufliche Weiterbildung”).
